Thank you for your interest in building with SABS technology—a cutting-edge composite solution for creating fire, wind, and earthquake-resistant

homes.

Taj Innovations is proud to represent Strata International Group in

the Southern California market. We are here to guide you through every

step of the building process and provide all the materials you'll need for

your future home. Below is an outline of the typical process for building

with SABS. Please note that each project is unique, and this guide is

designed to help simplify and streamline your journey.

1. Design Phase

You have two main options when beginning your home design:

• Option 1: Have Strata handle both architectural and structural

design. The complete design package is $8.25/sq ft.

• Option 2: Work with your own architect. Once plans are complete,

we submit them to Strata for conversion into the SABS system. This

conversion costs $5.25/sq ft.

* To save time, a drafter can create initial floor plans, which can then be

submitted to Strata. A complete design typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the client's preferences for home style and layout. We can

propose a candidate.

Next Steps:

• Once you are ready, Taj will gather your documents and forward

them to Strata.

• Strata will schedule a conceptual design meeting to define the

project’s “under-roof” square footage.

• A contract will follow, then an invoice. Design work begins once

payment is made to Strata International.

2. Permitting Phase

After plans are finalized, you can:

• Submit them yourself as an Owner-Builder, or

• Have your contractor submit them.

*Owner-submissions may help expedite municipal approval.

Taj and Strata will support you through the permitting process and respond

to any questions from local municipalities. Additional services such as Title

24, soil testing, grading, surveying, solar, and utilities

coordination may also be required—these can be handled by either you or

your contractor.

3. Infrastructure & Foundation

Once permits are approved:

• You may need soil tests, grading plans, and surveys based on

your land and local requirements.

• Your contractor will prepare and pour the foundation (including

plumbing, electrical rough-ins, and waterproofing).

• Foundation curing time is 28 days.

To stay on schedule, notify Taj as soon as foundation work

begins. We’ll coordinate materials delivery, so everything arrives

on time.

Once contractor begins the work on the foundation, it is essential to

promptly notify Taj Innovations. This ensures that building materials are

delivered on schedule and that no delays occur in the construction timeline.

Upon receiving notification, Taj will draft the contract to order the

materials. After the contract is signed, an invoice will be issued. Oncepayment is received, the materials will be ordered and scheduled for

delivery to the site, timed appropriately for installation following the

completion of the foundation pour.

4.Contractor Certification & Training

To ensure quality control, all contractors using the SABS system must

complete a certification training provided by Taj and Strata.

Training Details:

• When: Last Monday–Wednesday of each month, 9am–4pm

• Where: 28104 Avenue Crocker, Valencia, CA 91355

• Cost: $5,500 for up to 3 participants; $300 for each additional

person

• Includes: Breakfast, lunch, and hands-on construction of an 8x8

unit

If you don’t have a contractor, we are happy to recommend one we trust.

5. Foam Construction Phase

• Contractors will start cutting and assembling foam components based

on the SABS cut sheet.

• Stem walls, exterior walls, and the roof will be built within 2–3 weeks

of the foundation pour.

• Windows and doors openings will be cut into the foam and prepped

for installation.

6. Sabscrete Phase

• Contractors apply Sabscrete from top to bottom, starting with the

roof and exterior walls.

• Simultaneously, electricians and plumbers install internal

components. Alongside with the Fire sprinkler system.

• After electrical and plumbing are complete, foam openings are

patched, and walls are prepped and coated internally.

7. Finishing Phase

With Sabscrete completed, your contractor can begin the finishing process:

• Kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, paint, and final installations proceed

as with any traditional home build.

• Once complete, you may apply for your Certificate of Occupancy.8. Taj’s Role
